Here are my top 5 NEW cruelty free beauty products 2022

There are five new additions to my personal makeup bag bringing my tired little face back to life on the daily.

Happy new year everyone!

It feels like 2022 is the year we’ve all been waiting for, although there’s still some uncertainty around this never ending pandemic, It seems that lockdowns are becoming a thing of the past. Having had a chance to properly regroup and rest over Christmas is just the reset we all needed and personally I’m feeling good for it.

I love the start of a new year, there’s an infectious sense of hope that rises amongst us all. New work out plans paired with stronger defence mechanisms against the 'snack attack' and a good old clear out and de-clutter.

I've committed myself to the Saturday morning park run, coconut oil teeth pulling (I'll let you know if this actually works for anyone interested, also is there anything coconut oil cant do?), and the dreaded and long road ahead a.k.a Dry January.

I’ve reorganised everything cupboard, corner and shelf in the house including my personal makeup bag. There are a few newbies in the makeup bag that I had to share!

I really treasure having a few minutes in the day to connect, check in with myself as well as polish my face ready for the day and these are the winners of the year so far.

Before applying any makeup whatsoever, I always cleanse, tone and moisturise, lately Ive been LOVING the Biosannce squalane range. This brand is one of my faves for skincare and their latest range did not disappoint. I especially love the marine eye cream for brightening and treating my poor, poor under-eyes. It's currently on sale too - click here to see.

1) Future dew hybrid serum - Glossier

Glossier have become one of the most innovative forward thinking beauty brands for me lately and this product is no exception. One of my favourite current makeup trends of REAL, Hydrated and plump glossy skin is all achievable in this one bottle. Think of that gorgeous texture you end up with after doing your skincare routine - it’s that but long lasting.

The texture of the product feels quite thick and almost glaze like which gives the title ‘oil serum hybrid’ it’s place. Years ago we would turn to powder highlighters for that glow, then we moved onto oils and balms, and now future dew! This has become a staple in my personal makeup bag and my kit. Packed with natural ingredients to brighten and hydrate as well as leaving you with a sun kissed oil soaked glow.

2) Lash slick - Glossier

Another one from Glossier - their lash slick mascara. I’ve wasted some time and funds on finding a decent mascara over the past few months. It’s so hard to know what will work when they all promise to bring all the length volume and curl possible. Some mascaras that were double the cost of the glossier lash slick were pretty underwhelming when it came down to layering up my lashes. This however, is a winner and one of the best I’ve come across in a long time.

The brush allows you so much control so you can keep all the lashes separate whilst building them up - they build up nice and quick too! The finished result - fluttery, separated lengthy lashes. I also found the mascara was comfortable all day and easy to remove keeping my natural lash in a great condition. This was a surprise find and I’m over the moon that I’ve discovered it!

3) Your skin but better CC cream - It Cosmetics

The perfect natural base for every day wear and one of if not the best base product I've ever used. The coverage is high for a cc cream yet still looks natural. The ingredients list is super impressive from an SPF of 50, to key faves like peptides, niacinamide , hyaluronic acid, and collagen. This tube of goodness primes and perfects the texture and tone of my skin and for a bonus smells beautiful.

I sometimes add a few drops of the Cover FX Illuminating  drops* for an extra dewy glow - this golden elixir has been a solid member of my makeup bag since 2015 and are also currently half price, therefore restocked and sat smugly in my newly reorganised  kit overspill.

4) Overachiever concealer - Huda Beauty

Similar to the base I’ve just mentioned, this is a product that provides high pigment for coverage as well as winning key ingredients to treat my under eyes. A small amount goes a very long way and I’ve found that a bouncing action is the best way to apply this creamy luminous matte concealer. A bouncing motion with either a sponge or dense fluffy brush allows the product to sink in to just the right amount and set for the day. Anyone with dark circles or discolouration needs to try this one out.

The only negative I have is that the top of the tube burst after the first application. I’m hoping this was just a one of fault because i will definitely be repurchasing very soon - they are currently half price over at boots!

5) Multi stick - Ilia Beauty

I use this quick on the go award winner of a stick on my cheeks and lips to bring my look together. The colour really lasts and gives my face much needed life, and the buttery luscious texture is perfectly comfortable on my lips.

The application is super quick and easy and theres a great shade range complimentary to all skin tones. Such a fantastic ethical brand with beautiful skincare/makeup hybrid products on offer.

And that sums it up, my precious few minutes in the morning are spent gliding these delights over my face, erasing all signs of tiredness and dull skin whilst treating my skin to fabulous ingredients at the same time!

Enjoy X
